Nexans has been awarded two major contracts, worth a total of 17 million euros, by Switzerland’s CFF (Chemins de Fer Fédéraux) and the private railway company BLS (Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon), for the supply of railway safety and telecommunications equipment.

Nexans has been awarded a major contract by the Chinese company Huawei Marine Networks Co Ltd to supply around 440 km of submarine fibre optic cable for the high profile communications project – the Libya Silphium link across the Mediterranean Sea.

Nexans has been awarded an 87 million Euro contract by Energinet and Statnett, the state-owned Transmission Systems Operators (TSOs) in Denmark and Norway, to deliver the subsea power cable for Skagerrak 4 (SK 4), the fourth HVDC power interconnector between the two countries.

Nexans has been awarded an ambitious 178 million Euro turnkey contract by Enemalta Corporation, the state-owned energy authority in Malta, to design, manufacture, install and provide seabed protection of the new high-voltage AC (Alternating Current) submarine power link between Malta and Sicily.
