Nexans fibre cable SC-MT * LSZH is designed for following installation conditions :

  • Suitable for horizontal links and collapsed backbone configurations
  • Compatible with VF-45 TM connectors
  • Suitable for MT-RJ/MT-RJ patchcords
  • Designed for MT-RJ Field Installable Connectors without individual fibre guide
  • All dielectric design
  • Flame retardant halogen free jacket
  • Compact design

* This cable is designed to meet the requirements of the new Small Form Factor Connectors containing 2 fibres in the same ferrule. The design enables both fibres to be stripped and cleaved at the same time, ensuring low lost during termination.

Nexans fibre cable SC-MT LSZH can include MM62.5, MM50 and SM G652 fibres.

For MM we offer different grades of fibre to suit your application: GIGAlite, GIGAlite II, GIGAlite 3 (MM50 only) or GIGAlite 4 (MM50 only).

Installation

  • Set cutter blade at 0.5 mm
  • Remove outer sheath **
  • Cut aramid yarns **
  • Remove the µtube leaving about 5 cm of 250 µm fibre **
  • Strip both 250 µm fibres at the same time **
  • Cleave both 250 µm fibre at the same time **

** In accordance to connector installation specifications

Construction

  1. Dry µtube 0.6/1.1 mm containing two individually coloured fibres at 250 µm
  2. Aramid yarns reinforcement
  3. Flame retardant halogen free outer sheath
