 Paris, September 21, 2006 - Nexans, the worldwide leader in the cable industry, announces the appointment of Frédéric Michelland, 40 years old, as Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Committee, effective November 1st, 2006. Frédéric Michelland is joining from Suez Group.
After graduating from the “Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris” (Paris School of Political Science) and from INSEAD (master degree in Finance and MBA), he started his professional career with JP Morgan and SG Warburg where he worked in trading rooms, in France and abroad.
In 1996, he joined the Financial Department of the Suez Group as Corporate Finance Officer. He worked first on Mergers and Acquisitions in the frame of Suez development in the energy sector. He was then responsible of the Group’s quotation project in the United States. In 2000, he was appointed Financial Communication Director. In 2003, he moved to the head of the Financial Control Department of the Group.
