26 July, 2007 - Nexans in Milton Keynes received a last minute phone call from the organisers of the Golden Goose Festival desperately trying to find some cable to help power the music festival being held in aid of Willen Hospice.
Nexans were more than happy to donate some HO7 flexible cable to help ensure the event could go ahead.
The Golden Goose Festival, held at the Enigma Tavern in Milton Keynes, was a free event held over the weekend of 21st and 22nd July. Eleven local bands playing anything from traditional jazz and classic covers to indie and heavy rock provided the entertainment. There was also children's entertainment, face painting, balloons, tombollas and raffles all to raise money for the local hospice.
Willen Hospice provides a range of specialist care for people from Milton Keynes and surrounding areas who have cancer or other life limiting illness. Services are provided within the hospice itself, within our day hospice, or within a patient's own home. Willen Hospice is a registered charity and care is provided at no cost to patients or their families.
