The new CA0!

We would like to inform you about a technological improvement with the introduction of the new CA0 Cable Adaptors used in the Euromold 24kV connector kits.

The new cable adapter CA0 (CA “zero”) will replace the 430CA and 411CA in the following separable connector types:

12.7/22 (24) kV           K480TB, K800PB
                                    K400TB
                                    K400LR
18/30 (36) kV               M480TB, M800PB

In a later stage, this change will be implemented for:

• the separable connectors types M400TB and M400LR

• P-level products (42 kV)

The new CA0 has following advantages:

• Easier to install

  • the elasticity of the CA0 has been improved, which makes it easier to install (less force needed)

• No need to put field control mastic

  • No field control mastic is needed on the semicon step, due to the increased elasticity

• All types of earthing connections are covered

• Offers a watertight solution for outdoor use by means of the MWS (Mastic Water Sealing)

• Better eco footprint than the 430CA / 411CA

• Qualified with type test according to CENELEC HD629.1

  • Test reports are available upon request

The full kits will keep the current Item Number and Description, except for the 0 added in the description.

The new CA0 will be included in the box as well as the modified installation instructions.

We trust this change will improve the installer’s experience as well as contribute to the continuous improvements of the Euromold connectors.

The test report up to M-level is available after request.
