Stranded copper conductor class 2 according to IEC 60228, semi conducting conductor screen, insulation of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), semi conducting insulation screen, semi conducting bedding, copper screen, bedding, PE sheath.
Temporary site cables are used during the maintance, repair and modification of overhead lines and substations. The cables act as a temporary bridge within or between cable or OHL circuits as well as providing emergency power supply as a contingency or within an emergency return to service requirement.
By using Nexans pre-assembled flexible outdoor terminations and specially constructed drums, these cables can be deployed on site quickly and easily.
Standard drum lenghts are between 50 mtrs and 500 mtrs. Lengths between 50 mtrs 150 mtrs are supplied on three chamber drum with longer lengths being delivered on single chamber drums.
All Nexans temporary site cables can be connected in parallel and tested for partial discharge after use.
All high voltage cables are manufactured on the basis of specifications and can be adapted to the requirements of the customer. Therefore, all technical information are purely for information purposes and the electrical characteristics are calculated for values which are specified in the data sheets and a cable axis-center distance of 0,15 m and solar radiation.
